Massage Therapy for Pain & Movement

My treatment philosophy is centered around pain, injury, and movement-related concerns, including muscle tension, headaches, sports and gym injuries, and postural strain from daily activity. I work with clients throughout Vancouver, tailoring treatment to your body and goals with a focus on improving how you move, recover, and function in everyday life.

Who I help

I work with youth and adults experiencing pain, injuries, movement-related restrictions, and the physical effects of stress — including athletes, active individuals, office workers, and those dealing with sprains, strains, muscle tension, headaches, or repetitive daily strain. Treatment is individualized and may help reduce pain, improve mobility, support recovery from injury, and enhance long-term function in daily activity, sport, and work.

Common Concerns Treated

Neck and shoulder pain is often related to posture, repetitive strain, stress, or movement restrictions in the upper back and surrounding muscles. Treatment focuses on reducing tension, improving mobility, and addressing the movement patterns that may be maintaining discomfort.

Headaches, jaw tension, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders can contribute to pain, stiffness, and discomfort in the face, neck, and shoulders, with symptoms often referring between these areas and influenced by muscle tension, stress, posture, or clenching.

Treatment can support recovery from sports and exercise-related injuries, including strains, overuse issues, and training-related muscle tension — commonly used alongside ongoing exercise or rehabilitation to support a return to activity.

Prolonged sitting and repetitive work can contribute to neck, shoulder, and upper back tension. Treatment focuses on reducing muscular overload and improving movement in the areas most affected by desk-based work.

Lower back and hip pain can be related to muscle tension, movement restrictions, prolonged sitting, or load-related strain. Treatment aims to reduce discomfort, improve mobility, and support more efficient movement patterns in daily life.

Massage therapy during pregnancy can help reduce low back pain, hip discomfort, neck and shoulder tension, leg fatigue, and other common aches that develop as your body changes. Treatment is adapted to each stage of pregnancy, with positioning and technique focused on your comfort and safety.

I treat runners in Vancouver of all levels, helping with common running-related concerns such as knee, hip, calf, Achilles, and foot pain, muscle tension, overuse injuries, and mobility restrictions.

I treat nurses and healthcare workers dealing with the physical demands of long shifts, including neck and shoulder tension, low back pain, repetitive strain, muscle fatigue, and aches from prolonged standing, lifting, and patient care.

If you're experiencing any of the concerns listed above — or have another issue not mentioned here — massage therapy may help. Whether you're dealing with pain, injury, tension, mobility restrictions, or simply finding it difficult to move comfortably, I'd be happy to create a treatment customized to your concern.
