Massage Therapy During Pregnancy
Pregnancy brings many physical changes that can place extra stress on the body. As your pregnancy progresses, it is common to experience low back pain, hip discomfort, pelvic tension, neck and shoulder tightness, swelling, and general muscle soreness.
Prenatal massage therapy can help reduce many of these common pregnancy-related aches and pains while providing a safe and comfortable treatment experience tailored to your stage of pregnancy.
Pressure can be modified based on your comfort level, and you are welcome to change positions at any time during the session.

Yes. Massage therapy is considered safe throughout all stages of a healthy pregnancy.
Every treatment is adjusted based on how you are feeling that day, your stage of pregnancy, and any recommendations from your healthcare team.
If you have a high-risk pregnancy or specific medical concerns, you may wish to consult with your physician or midwife before treatment.

No. Pregnancy massage treatments do not include abdominal massage unless specifically requested.
Treatment focuses on the areas that commonly become sore or strained during pregnancy, including:
Low back
Hips and glutes
Pelvic and sacroiliac region
Upper back
Neck and shoulders
Legs and calves
Feet and ankles
The treatment is always adapted to your comfort level and preferences.

Many people assume they must lie on their side throughout pregnancy massage. While side-lying positioning is always available, many pregnant clients find it more comfortable to lie face down using specialized pregnancy support cushions.
I use professional pregnancy pillows designed to safely accommodate your body changes throughout pregnancy. These cushions allow many pregnant clients to comfortably lie face down, even in the later stages of pregnancy.
Your position can be adjusted at any time during the treatment. Whether you prefer lying face down, side-lying, or a combination of positions, your comfort is always the priority.
My massage table also adjusts into a semi-seated position for face-up treatment.
